I have an MG3100 series printer. I used to have it connected via wifi but then BT put in a new router and the wifi connection ceased to work, depsite many tries.
So now it's connected with a cable. Trouble is, the printer keeps going to sleep, so when you send something, my Apple iMac returns the error message that it can't connect with the printer. If I lean over and gently touch the on/off button, it works - but that's a nuisance!
I'm using the latest Apple O/S - El Capitan.
Any solutions greatly appreciated.
