MG 4260 Scan / Copy Problem

Whenever I Scan or Copy a document on theis device I end up with a thick (approx. 15mm) wide line down the entire length of the left-hand border of the document.

The device otherwise functions perfectly.

Any ideas how I should troubleshoot / Fix this problem?
