MG 2522 Won't Print/Feed Paper

spmcc

My MG 2522 worked perfectly.  It ran out of ink.  I replaced the ink cartridges according to all manual and packaging directions.  I tried to do the print test.  It will not feed paper through.  It starts, takes the paper about an inch, then stops like it's completely done printing.  There are zero error lights.  The only light that is on is the green power one, which blinks when it starts to feed the paper, and then stops blinking when it stops feeding the paper.  I've unplugged it, restarted it, tried troubleshooting through the computer app, etc.  Help, please.

Hi spmcc,

First, please check for jammed paper or foreign objects inside of your PIXMA MG2522:

https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART143548

Next, clean the paper feed rollers:

https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART142302

Once complete, please follow the steps on this page to load paper into your PIXMA MG2522:

https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART166744

If the paper still does not feed correctly, it would appear that your PIXMA MG2522 would require service.  If your PIXMA MG2522 was purchased less than a year ago, please contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat to obtain your in warranty options. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below:

If your PIXMA MG2522 is out of warranty, you are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Monday through Saturday, 9am to 9pm. Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
