Is there a scan utility available to install on my PC so I can scan documents from this utility instead of using the LCD panel display on the printer?

hi delach,
If you are able to scan from the LCD panel successfully, you likely already have the software on your computer. If you are in Windows, the software can be located under Start/All Programs/Canon Utilities/ Quick Menu. If you are on a Mac, it can be located under the Macintosh HD/Applications/Canon Utilities/Quick Menu.

And what is the scan functions are blank in my Mac copy of quick menu? That whole line right of the word scan is blank.

Hello wgrobinson.
Please try using our IJ Scan Utility program to scan with the unit. The program should be available in the Canon Utilities listing of Applications.
