Insufficient contrast

Scanning black-and-white drawings, using Pixma MG5420, into Image Capture on an intel iMac.

Recipient says that more contrast is required - whiter whites and sharper blacks. Other than the contrast slider on Image Capture, is there any other technique to accomplish this ?

Hello.

More options can be accessed from our IJ Scan Utility program. 

Open the program from the Canon Utilities folder in Applications.  Once there, click the Scangear option to access the advanced settings.
