Installing a new mg2522 printer

Installing a new mg2522 printer and it says it's aligning the print head, but has been "working" for 15+ minutes and not making any sounds. Is this normal?

Hi LINDY-LOU,

Please turn your printer off and disconnect the USB cable.  Once off, please turn your PIXMA MG2522 back on.

When you turn your PIXMA MG2522 back on, does the error light blink?  If so, how many times does it blink before there is a pause?

If the error light is off and not blinking, please reconnect the USB and attempt to install again.
