Ink won't go back to center in MX922

I have printed on this printer previously though is fairly new - when I put a paper into the 6x4 tray and I went to print I got the code 6000.  Ink levels indicate OK on the pc - unplugged etc, but ink cartridges will not return to the center - so won't print and error won''t go away -

If resetting the printer did not resolve the 6000 error, the printer will require servicing.  Please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page to obtain your servicing options.
