While printing some pictures right after buying Canon ink cartridges from Walmart it ran out like super fast, the starter ink that came with the printer being the same thing lasted way longer. I want to get more but I can't afford that if that's the way this printer works. I have been working on what was supposed to be a Christmas present for a family I am very close to but if the product is that bad I will end up selling because that is the whole reason for buying this product and always thought Canon was top of the Line. again its a TR8622a

Hi Scott515,
The PIXMA TR8622a does have larger ink tanks available. XL and XXL inks contain more ink, so you would be able to print more images before the ink needs to be replaced.
Inks are available for purchase directly from Canon using the following link:
Canon Support for PIXMA TR8622a - Supplies & Accessories
To view the page yield for the various inks available for the PIXMA TR8622a, please view this PDF:
Also, there is a page in the TR8622a's manual that provides information regarding ink usage:

the problem was spending fifty some dollars on the last set of cartridges walmart had and was only able to get off a small handful of them before what I would only assume was a defective batch. its not that I printed a ton of photos and the ink ran out, I barley got any done and ink was out and asking for more, if that is the true nature of the expensive machine I purchased then I will be out a few hundred bucks and looking for the kind of company I had believed Canon was suppose to be.

If cannon won't replace defective ink, I will not be buying anymore Canon products and selling the unit, If by chance the new ink, pending you agree to replace, does the same, you won't hear from me again and I'll cut my losses with a bad investment
