I keep getting a printing error message.

I installed Norton Utilities and keep getting printing error messages.  Cannot print off of computer anymore.  I deleted the original printer and reinstalled.  Now I see I should have uninstalled it, but didn't know how.  Should I go ahead and do that?  I had Norton uninstall their stuff, been on the phone with Comcast for hours, and Canon for hours, can't figure it out.  Comcast says it must be online or how could you be getting the error messages on the computer?  Canon says it's a problem with the WIFI.  I'm at a loss.  I've had the technicians at Canon, Comcast twice, and Norton on the phone for hours and still won't print when directed by computer.

 

I have Windows 10, a Canon Pixma MX490 on a WIFI connection.

To have a better understanding of your issue, please let everyone know what operating system (Windows Vista/7/8 or Mac OS 10.X) you are using, which printer product you have and if you are connected via USB or WI-FI. That way, the community will be able to assist you with suggestions appropriate for your product.

Any other details you'd like to give will only help the Community better understand your issue!

Do you have a chat feature.  I am very hard of hearing and sometimes it's difficult over the phone to follow the directions, expecially if there are a lot of numbers etc.
