I just purchased a Canon G3270 printer 3 days ago. Setup and connection to my computer was easy. I started printing some documents. It worked well for a few documents and then it stopped. It showed my job in the print que, but would not print. I uninstalled the printer and started over. It would not print the test page. And is frozen (spinning) on the Canon PRINT app. It's connected to my wi-fi,

Hi. Thanks for contributing to the Canon community.

When jobs stay stuck in the queue and the Canon PRINT app freezes (spins), It usually means that the computer or device is no longer communicating with the printer. I do need some additional information so I can figure why this is happening.

First, I will need you to get some information regarding the network connection for your G3270. To do that, please follow the instructions in the following article:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/G3070%20series/EN/NTR/ntr_n_01_04.html

When the page finishes printing, you'll see line numbers on the left side of the page. Please look for the information in the following lines:
3-2-1
3-2-2
3-2-6
3-2-12

Please write back with answers to the following questions:

  • Did you try restarting your computer before uninstalling and reinstalling the printer?
  • What operating system is your computer running? (e.g., Windows 7, Windows 11, macOS Sequoia V.15)
  • Is the Canon PRINT app installed on your computer? If not, what kind of device is that app installed on?
  • What is the Signal Strength listed on line 3-2-1 of the network information?
  • What is the Link Quality listed on line 3-2-1 of the network information?
  • Do you see the name of your Wi-Fi in line 3-2-6 (SSID) of the network information?
  • Does the IP Address in line 3-2-12 start with one of the following numbers?
    10
    172
    192
  • Is your computer connected to the network mentioned in line 3-2-6 of the printer's network information?
  • Is your computer connected to a VPN or work network through the Internet?
  • Have you tried restarting both the printer and your router?

Looking forward to your reply with the answers to these questions. Thanks again.
