got error 5100 on my MG3500 printer. cleared the paper jam, reset the cartridges, searched high and low for another problem. cant fint one. still get the error 5100.... how do I clear this error.... I refuse to pay the maintenance fee just for a paper jam.(that would mean obvious gouging due to normal printer operation).. why were the printers of 30 years ago so superior to the crap made today? could it be so canon can charge us for ink at a higher price than gold?

Hi btwolfe,
To attempt to resolve the 5100 error, please follow these steps:
1. Please unplug the power cord from your PIXMA MG3520 and leave it off for approximately 10 seconds.
2. After 10 minutes, please reconnect the power cord and turn your PIXMA MG3520 on.
Does the 5100 error persist?
