Please tell us what exact error has occurred on the LCD display of the unit when the paper was loaded.

I unboxed a new MG5420 today and have the same issue too.
The support code that I get is 6000 and the LED blinks 3 times.
I just installed the ink tanks and was trying to do a head alignment. That was when this error occured. any advice on the next steps.The paper output tray is open. I tried restarting the printer and get the same issue.

I have tried the options in the link even before I sent this message. I have called up customer care and turns out that the printer was faulty and I am getting a replacement.
