How to make a Pixma MG 2522 print in black only

I have a Pixma MG 2522 and only want to print documents in black only regardless of the original document's color composition. All my attempts to print colored documents in black have failed.

You can set the ink cartridge that your PIXMA MG2522 uses to print in the driver.
