How to disable fax machine on the PIXMA TR8622a

I am hoping there is a way to disable the fax on my TR8622a. It interferes with most of my phone calls by disconnecting and putting out that fax noise.

To disable the fax function on your Canon TR8622a, follow these steps:

• Press the Home button on your printer.
• Use the arrow keys to navigate to Settings and select it.
• Scroll to Fax Settings and press OK.
• Look for the option to Disable Fax and select it.
• Confirm your selection and exit the menu.

I have not set that receive mode. I will look for that option and see if I can figure it out.
