How do i close the lid of the my canon selphy 810 display screen ?

I purchased the Canon Selphy CP 810 a year ago and I love it.  

Today after completing the print job . I shut down the application and when **bleep**ting off the printer itself, the lid will not close

I tried to connect to my laptop again , opened and close the applcation, shutdown device again but no luck

Please help
