Horizontal gaps in nozzle check IP5200R

I am getting regular horizontal absence of ink lines alternating with inked lines in my nozzle check.  PGBK is perfect--no gaps.  Light cyan and light magenta are also perfect.  The darker cyan, magenta, yellow and photo black all have the problem.

I have changed the printhead twice now.  Each new printhead solved an old problem; but created a new one ie. photo black second half of nozzle check missing.  Now, all bars are complete; but there is regular skipping horizontally. I have done repeated cleaning and deep cleaning cycles, wasting a huge amount of ink; but, I'm like a dog with a bone.  I'm technically oriented and I really would like to  know what happened to my favorite printer.  Head alignments have not helped and I have cleaned and reinstalled the current printhead twice.

Any inisight into the problem and possible solutions would be appreciated!

Hi BoMan47,

Since the print head has been replaced several times and the repeated cleanings and alignments did not resolve the issue, the printer will require servicing to determine the source of and resolution to the issue.  We ask that you please call 1-866-261-9362, Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. ET (excluding holidays) for further assistance.  A Canon technical support representative will be happy to help.  There is no charge for this call.
