100scanproblems

I followed the manual and on-site started download process, states my scanner/printer cannot be used with the current operating system.
Outrageous. How would i fix this problem before i chunk this pos out the door. Already got rid of the box it came in otherwise i would take it back to the store without a second try. 
Printer/Scanner Pixma TS3122 but on printer states TS3100. 
computer Windows Vista downloaded Windows 7

To have a better understanding of your issue, please let everyone know what printer you have, the operating system (Windows Vista/7/8 or Mac OS 10.X) you are using, and if you are connected via USB or WI-FI.
