I have a G7020, and I'm actually pretty happy with it. Normally, I print documents that are only a couple of pages long. However, I just had to print a 50 page document and came across this problem. It started fine with black and all colors. Then, about 20 pages in, it stopped printing almost all of the page - both in black and in colors. It would print some half lines at various spots along the page showing that it is trying to print the whole page, but this is what I would expect if my ink were running low. My inkwells are still in the top quarter full, so it's not a matter of supply. I also just opened the lid to see that the lines that run ink from the well to the pad seem to be full. So, I'm thinking that the speed of printing is what's making it run out of ink faster than the lines can transport, but it's printing at the regular pace as it always has without problems. Ideas on what is causing it and how to fix?

That error points to an ink supply problem. Perform an ink flush. It takes quite a bit of ink so make sure your tanks are at least half full.

It is not so much speed of the print as the heads can't keep up due to possible clogged nozzles. I suggest you run a nozzle check and if it is not correct do a deep cleaning. Another possible problem is air in the ink lines, but lets check the print heads first. Here is the guide to print a nozzle check and examine the results:

If the pattern is not correct, then go right to a deep cleaning of the print heads, and this is the guide to do that:

nope...I did 2x regular cleans and then 2x deep cleans, and it goes right back to it...still not printing the black past 3 lines. It was interesting that I got a 5200 error after the second regular clean, though...
