Does the printer LCD ever change from "Canon" to something else? Have you had any recent storms? Power failures? Unexpected power surges or loss?
Start by checking that all doors and trays are closed properly. While doing so, look for paper jams. Power off the printer and disconnect it from power. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds, then release. Wait a few minutes and reconnect to power. Turn the unit on. Wait.
If the Display continues to show "Canon", the printer will require service. It has a 1 yr warranty. Register it in the MyCanon portal to see your support options.
