The flatbed plate scanning on my new TS5300 printer works from my IJ Scan Utility Light, but the rear-tray document feeder is not for printing or scanning. I am on a Wifi connection.
I went through all the troubleshooting techniques listed in the guides, but none resolved the problem.
When I cleaned the rear tray roller heads, the document feeder did work during that exercise, so the document feeder does work. But again, it does not work for printing or scanning from IJ Scan Utility Light.
I followed the paper-loading directions to the letter and got the confirmation on the consol screen -- but still, the rear tray document feeder did not feed.
I reinstalled all the software -- did not help.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks.

Thanks for joining the conversation, FelicityN!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA TS5300 series. The model number should appear on the front of the printer at the lower right. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.
Thanks and have a great day!
