Color output on PIXMA TR8620a very dark

The output from my MacOS is much darker than what is on my screen. Is there a way to just the luminance of the printer?

Can you provide more information? 1. what are you printing 2. what software?

Often the observation that "my prints are too dark" is really "my display is too bright"

Here is a good article. https://www.outbackphoto.com/printinginsights/pi049/essay.html

Download and print the test image and see what you get. As stated in the article, when you open the image in your software print without making any adjustments.

I have printed from both Pixelmater Pro and Luminar Neo. I am printing photos on glossy photo paper. I will look at the article you referenced.
