The print quality on my much-loved and hitherto reliable MG5750 deteriorated so I bought a new print head and installed it. When I switched on after installation, I first got the error B203 - which seems to be an all-purpose hardware warning - and then, after restoring my old print head (which looked just the same to me) I got the error 5100, which I think indicates that the p print head won't go anywhere. I thought, this shouldn't be too difficult.
But then I found that the print head had retreated to the right-hand end (as it should do) but I could not pull it back to centre even manually. Something was stopping it. I wondered if it was because I had not reinstalled the print head correctly but I can't even check that now. The problem is that I can't get the print head back to the middle to take a look.
I've poked around, I've even tried to remove the part of the cover on the right hand side which seems to have a few lugs which, if depressed, you would think would enable the cover to be removed.
Any idea anyone?
And failing that, what is a good replacement for an MG 5751 all-in-one nowadays? It seems that the MG5750 series are no longer made. Thanks in advance..
