I have a Canon Pixma MX340 multi-function printer. How do I clear Error 5200? The message said to turn the printer off and then on, and if that did not clear the error to consult the user's manual. On/off did not clear the error, and the online user's manual does not have Error 5200.

1: Switch off printer
2: Press and hold STOP button for 2-3 secs
3: Press and hold ON button, and release the STOP button
4: While still holding ON button, press teh STOP button 5 times.
5: Now release all buttons
6: LCD screen will turn on and will be blank.
7: Give it a minute and turn the printer off, and then back on.

Hello,
I followed your instructions. The second time, it worked !! I'm very happy and relieved.
Thanks you for your help, as well as everyone else's contributions.
Anyone who has this error after today: don't give up after a few attempts. I noticed that it does make a difference if you do it fast/slow (clicking the buttons etc.) so keep trying.

This didn't work for me several times and then it did. Not sure what the difference was... I did try different things like rebooting the laptop, turning the printer off and on a few times after going through the 7 steps, etc. Unplugging the printer never seemed to make a difference.
I'm only posting because this helped me and I'm hoping it can help someone else.
