I am trying to use the scanning feature in my Canon Pixma Mg2922 and it wont allow me to scan. It will print but it will not scan. Every time I try to scan, this error code appears:
Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons:
- Scanner is turned off.
- (If using Wired LAN connection) It is disconnected from Wired LAN.
- (If using wireless LAN connection) Signal strength is poor due to obstructions.
- Network connection is prohibited by security software.
- Different scanner on the network is selected.
Check the above and try scanning again.
If you still cannot communicate, restart the computer.
Code:15,157,0
I have throughly installed and uninstalled the package and drivers to no avail. I verified that my printer/scanner is connected to the same network as my Mac. I have been having this issue since updating my Macbook Air to El Capitan. Thanks!

Hi goodreviews,
I understand you have a PIXMA MG2922, you are able to print wirelessly; however, you are not able to scan wirelessly.
To troubleshoot this issue, please perform the following steps:
If you still encounter issues with wireless scanning, try installing the ICA Driver. This may improve communication between the scanner and the computer.
