Canon PIXMA MG2440 can not scan

hi

i am using canon pixma mg2440 for first time and when trying to scan document i get error code:2,156,50 "can't communicate with the scanner, the scanner driver will be closed"

i installed printer software from canon cd and i am using win7 64bit

kindly, advise to fix this issue

I'm facing the same problem.  I've reinstalled the drivers with no sucess.  Does anyone have advice?  Thanks!
