Canon MX892 Scanner Issue with MacOS Monterey 12.2

I can’t find a way for my MacBook to recognize my Canon MX892 Scanner.  Printing is OK.  Prior I’ve used MP Navigator to scan but it’s not compatible with Monterey.

hi,

The MX892 was retired in 2018 and is not compatible with the newer Mac OS. The computer is most likely using its own built in printer driver for basic printing but there is not a Canon scanner or printer driver for the Monterey OS. 

Since the printer is not compatible with your OS, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
