My printer is only printing half of any text that is black. I have replaced the ink cartridges, removed and cleaned the printer head, run all the maintenance options (cleaning, deep cleaning, etc.) and it still prints only the top half of any black text. All other colors print fine.
Can this be a printer head issue?
Thanks,
Mike

There are no error messages when printing. I am using Windows 10 and the print issue happens with both WIFI and USB connections.
Thanks

Thanks for the additional info. We should point out that the PIXMA MG6821 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.
Hope this helps!

Greetings mike,
When you say the printer only prints half of any text which is black, does this mean half of a full page of black text, or half of an actual individual letter or line of text?
Like this for example:
What application(s) are you printing from when this happens? (some or all)
Does it happen with every document or just certain ones/types?
Try this. Press the start meny button, type "notepad" (no quotes) and press enter.
Type a line of text in the notepad application.
Now press ctrl+P, select your Canon printer and print. What is the result?
