Canon G4070 door open error

G4070 printer will copy but won’t print from my computer. Door open displays in settings on computer

Additional information is that door open does not display on the printer when the door is closed

The printer sensor may be detecting the door as open even though it’s closed. Try turning the printer off, unplugging it for a few minutes, and then restarting both the printer and your computer. Also check that all covers (front, rear, and ink tank area) are fully closed and clicked into place.

Still won’t print from my laptop but have discovered that I can print perfectly well using an iPad and the Canon print app. So maybe the fault is with the laptop?

Decided to look at printers via settings. It still said door open, so ran troubleshooter. It found a problem : ‘A print job in the printer queue is preventing other print jobs from printing’ which it fixed. Printer now working normally. No idea why one print job was a problem as I was attempting to print several copies of 2 different sheets. Thanks for your suggestion, it spurred me to try other things.
