Cannon MX492 Says PC not connected

Both my printer and copier work but when I go to scan it says PC not connected.  I have a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series PC.  thx

What version of Windows is installed on your computer?

Are you using your PIXMA MX492 wirelessly or with a USB cable?

Are you using the IJ Scan Utility to scan with your PIXMA MX492?
