recognizing my T3 rebel on my new mac

I do not have the original software on my new mac that uses Ventura 13.5. If I download any of these updates do I need to download the software from the CD before any of these updates will work? I tried to download the software from the CD that came with the camera and I cannot do that because that needs to up updated. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make this work? Thanks!

Sometimes you have to kick Image Capture in the pants and run it manually with the camera plugged in.
