have powershotA2500 downloaded software can't open to install say invalid toshiba laptop windows 7

have powershotA2500.. downloaded software.. can't open to install.. said invalid..  toshiba laptop windows 7

did just hook up camera using cable ..turned on camera and transfered pics...it worked...in picture liberary but are huge..

anyway to re-size before transfer?  

do I still need to have the software?

Thanks for the post.

Image cannot be resized before they are transfered to your computer, but you can change the size they are recorded at.

1. Press the FUNC/SET button.
2. Select the image size setting (probably set to "L" at the moment).
3. Select a smaller image size.
4. Press the FUNC/SET button to confirm.

While the software is not absolutely necessary, I still want to determine why you are unable to install it.  What is the exact error message you receive when you try to install the software?
