cannot install Digital Photo Professional for Canon 6D and Windows 11

On the Canon download page, when I select Digital Photo Professional 4.18.0 for Windows,

the installation process does not go ahead.  

Also,  Zoom Browser is nowhere to be found for download

to me the advantage of using software to download the pictures from the memory card is that the program automatically places the downloaded files into newly created folders that are named according to the date that the images (photos and videos) were taken.  I like to have my image files arranged this way.

While we understand your desire for convenience, using the CD that shipped with your camera is going to try to install software on your new Windows 11 OS that is about 10 yrs old.  This is not a reliable or long term solution.  It can also introduce new problems and frustration that we like to help you avoid. 

I recommend you use DPP v4.18.0 and EOS Utility v3.17.0 fir windows 11

@Waddizzle made an excellent point.  Zoom Image browser is no longer being supported or developed.  Its deprecated and should not be installed.  It may work today, for a week, or until Microsoft makes a change or updates its OS.

I just contacted Canon again about the Digital Photo Professional not working. It looks like it is installed but when I open the app I get the following error message.
