I recently recommended to an Australian friend to purchase EOS 700D and a 28-135 IS lens. She did so only to find out that DPP is not compatible with her Mac OS Maverick version 10.9. I feel embarrassed about my recommendation and the problem I caused her. When is Canon going to update DPP to make it compatible with all existing OSs?

I had the same issue. About 3 weeks I re-installed DPP and used the disk that came with my 5D3. Install was fine but had nothing but nightmares trying to update. Canon USA recignized my OSX as Mavericks but every time I updated DPP crashed if I tried to open an image. After about a dozen tries I decided to override Canon's and selected 10.8. Update was perfect. I just updated to 3.14.15 yesteday and it was on Mavericks. It appears going from a very old version to the latest is just too much of a leap.

I wonder if I even need 3.14.15 for my 7D. I'm inclinded to let sleeping dogs lie. g
