I downloaded latest firmware. I click on the dmg file in downloads and it will not open.

I checked that hard disk is clicked in the Finder settings.

on a Mac Studio with Sonoma 14.0

I do Firmware updates so seldom. Some silly user error?

In the Finder settings, you should also have "External disks" checked as well as "CDs, DVDs and iPods".

I got the firmware from another member.. Thanks shadowsports.
No clue why the MAC will not open the DMG. everything is checked.

I can open any other dmg I download

Perhaps it won't open bc *still* there is not a Sonoma version of the updater on the Canon web site.
