PowerShot G7 X Mark II Wi-Fi connection to PC via Canon Camera Window DC

I have tried to download the Canon Camera Window DC software to my new Windows 11 PC, so that I can use the wifi connection to transfer my images on the G7 Mk11 camera. Canon download site indicates that Windows 11 is not compatible with this software.

Any suggestions please. I do not want to use a card reader or usb cable, since a Wi-Fi connection was meant to be an upgrade.

Greetings,

Download the digital camera software version 7.2 listed under Windows 10.  This includes Camera Window and support for wireless equipped cameras.. Give this a try and see if it works with your device.

Where is this available? All I see is "digital photo Professional" which seems to be editing software.

Hi, I down loaded Canon Camera Windows DC 8.8, but it did not work. Could not get camera to be detected by the computer. Tried to delete it but windows uninstall failed. Had to revert to a clean restore point to remove this attempt.

Hi, It worked for my G7 Mk11, were I then had several software downloads available. The "Digital Photo Professional latest version plus user manuals and firmware downloads. The Canon Windows transfer software was also there but not for Windows 11.

Greetings ,

Please download camera window for Windows 10. It should install and run under Windows 11.

It seems that Canon abandoned all support for its products. The interfaces are straight from 1998.

I have Canon G7X Mark II camera and I cannot connect it to Windows 11. Neither Wi-Fi connection, nor USB work. No software is provided, no support given.

The camera is useless now. I cannot extract photos from it. Canon = cannot.
