Photos deleted when moving from Lightroom Classic to Library on Mac Mini

I have used Lightroom Classic on my PC desktop for a few years. About 18 months ago I started using Lightroom Classic on my Mac Mini with M1 chip. It has 16GB of Ram and a 1TB hard drive. The Mac Mini uses a 2TB backup hard drive. Twice in the last 4 weeks I have lost all of my pictures in Lightroom Classic. The most recent was today. The process has been similar in both circumstances. I download my pictures to develop and work on my pictures that I am going to keep. Then I move them to the Library and create the file for the pictures. At this point I attempt to move the pictures into this file. This is when the problem starts. As I move the pictures to the file the screen goes blank for a few seconds and then comes back on. While the screen is blank the contents of Lightroom Classic disappear. Lightroom Classic is empty of all of my pictures. This only happens with the Mac Mini. Are other members that use Lightroom Classic having this problem? Thank you for reading.

Hi Cantrell,

For issues with your Adobe product, you will need to post in the Adobe Creative Cloud Community.

One suggestion I might make. Always copy. Never move.  Then only after you have confirmed access, you can delete the source files. 😉
