Exporting RAW ST via VR Utility - hang?

dd_chroma

Exporting out a test RAW ST file from EOS VR Utility.

This has been stuck on "5 seconds remaining" for more than 15 minutes.

It's only about 30s.

On Apple Silicon M2.

Energy impact suggests something is happening.

At the very least, the user interface progress bar is not reporting correctly. Perhaps there's an error that hasn't been caught.

Version 1.5.11.1

macOS Sequoia 15.2

Tried again and getting the same results. Can see that there is an incomplete 10GB output file. Paused on 0 seconds remaining.

Noting that Settings > Privacy & Security > Files & Folders doesn't have an entry for the EOS VR Utility app. I wonder if there's a file permissions issue?

Tested on Sonoma 14.7.1 works without hang.

There seems to be a bug in 1.5.11.1 when running on Sequoia.

I'm still experiencing this, but only on certain large files. EOS VR Utility v1.5.12 on macOS Sequoia 15.3

Is there a set of consistent patterns when you say "certain large files"? What file format(s) is/are experiencing the hang? Is it a particular duration? Plenty of disk space available?

I haven't nailed down the exact criteria, but I've been testing it with 20+ minute long RAW LT files from my Canon R5 C. It hangs at the very end, apparently just before it writes the moov atom to the file.

This happens with ProRes 4444 as the export format, but surprisingly, not ProRes 422 HQ.

Yes, I have plenty of disk space available. The 4444 output file is about 3.45 TB but the destination disk has 18TB free.

Have you updated to the latest version 1.5.12?

The bug has been fixed in EOS VR Utility last week.

There's another thread on this same topic ... thought I was originally replying to that.

Yes, I have updated.

Can you clarify that you mean you updated beforehand and are still seeing the bug?

But the hang is only is happening with ProRes 4444 for clips that are 20 min plus, correct?
