Hello everyone!
I started remote shooting to my laptop with 5D MkII and EOS Utility 2. The possible shots count was about 2900 or so. No matter if I clear disk after every session, this count goes smaller and smaller. Now I work with 5Ds and EOS Utility 3, but countdown continues from prevous number. Now it's only 245. My standard session is about 500 shots, then it can come to zero in the middle of - and what comes next?
I installed EOS Utility 3 to another computer with about 2Tb of free space and plugged in 5Ds. Possible shots count was 799!
Both laptop and comp have Windows 10. Shooting without card is disabled, but I record images only to laptop within remote shooting.
How does EU calculate the possible shots count? Why it is smaller when free space is larger? Why it does not refresh shots count depending on free disk space? What if it comes to 0?

I don't think that count means anything. It's just a reminder. If it goes to zero without the card being full, I wouldn't expect it to matter.
