EOS Utility - Images not on Memory Card

djtazie

I have a very unusual situation and i cant seem to find what is causing it.

I have a Canon R5 and a Canon R6 and i have a desktop and a laptop both running Eos Utility.

When i used the desktop version , both cameras transfer images with the proper prefix Taz_ and save them correctly to the folder on the desktop and the images remain on the camera.

When i use the laptop , with both cameras , the images get transferred to the correct folder , BUT they start with IMG_ and the no longer remain on the camera , both Jpg and Raw are missing from both cards on both cameras , but this only happens when using the EOS utility on the laptop.

I have compared settings on both apps and cant find any difference. The desktop has a slightly older version of the utility and thats the only difference i can see ... any suggestions ?

Greetings djtazie,

I understand you have stated that you have compared the settings on both apps but are unable to find the difference between them. I understand that the EOS Utility 3 application does have a variety of settings that can be changed and adjusted. A couple I would suggest on checking would be the destination folder settings and the file name settings. You may click on the following link to view more information on where to find these settings within the software and check to see if they may be different on the software that is running on the laptop:
