Need help downloading photos from my camera to PC. Attempting to download pictures from my Canon EOS Rebel XT using a USB to micro USB connection. [Serial number deleted to protect privacy.] I expect that I need the drivers to download to my Dell Precision 7660 PC with Window 10 Enterprise (version 22H2) operating system

Greetings kwieman,
The EOS Rebel XT camera does not require any unique drivers for it to communicate with Windows 10. Our cameras will use the standard imaging drivers developed by Microsoft that are already installed in Windows. There is a setting that would need to be changed on the EOS Rebel XT for it to communicate with your computer through a USB cable. I will provide you with a link to the user guide and page 121 will provide the steps to change the communication method. Switch and ensure that the camera is set to PTP since Windows 10 uses the Picture Transfer Protocol with our EOS cameras.
