I had not used my camera in awhile due to the pandemic and decreased travel, along with increased use of my iPhone. I recently took pictures at my niece's graduation and realized that I did not have the software downloaded on my new computer. I have tried downloading the software that I can find but am unable to open and download the pictures. Can someone confirm that I am using the correct download or if anyone else has had this problem. I hate for them to have this delay, and Canon has not been helpful so far.

No software needed. Launch Image Capture and plug in the camera. the rest should be obvious.

What kind of computer? Which OS?
Generally you don't need any software. You can either plug it in via USB, or use a card reader.

I have a MacBook Pro, operating on Monterey. I had used it previously on my older MacBook.

Thank you. It did work once I pulled up Image Capture.
