Alright. So, I've been using my DSLR camera (Canon EOS M100) and the Canon Camera Connect App for quite a few months now, and I hadn't run into any problems until recently. For some reason, when I go to transfer stuff through the app like usual, it says I need to sign in or create a canon ID -- but that's not the problem. When I click either of these options, it immediately pops up with: "403 ERROR The request could not be satisfied." This first occurred last night, and since then I've tried a handful of different things: I deleted and redownloaded the app (multiple times), I powered my phone on and off, and I removed all devices already on my camera and attempted to add my phone again. I really don't know what to do anymore, and I'd like some assistance with this. I want to transfer my photos 😞
Thank you,
Addison Gottschalk

John, glad that worked for you. Yes, I also had to jump through a bunch of hoops to reconnect my phone and camera. (Forget the phone of the camera; register the camera as a “new” camera to my account; figure out that the Bluetooth connection seems to be important/required.)
But now that the Bluetooth connection is established, connectivity seems to be great. The ability to initiate reconnection quickly via Bluetooth is nice. In the past, I had to always go through a multi step process to reconnect through the wifi access point. I’m beginning to wonder if I had never set up the Bluetooth connection previously. It was so awkward.
But now it seems reasonably slick.

I was on vacation happily uploading photos from my PowershotSX 70HS to my iPhone 11 running iOS 18.3.2 when about 4 weeks ago, when trying to do so again, I was asked to login to my Canon Connect ID, having previously simply connected and downloaded. From what I can see on this thread it seems an upgrade to the App is causing this problem. When I go to sign in with name and password to the app on my phone I have no luck, it just says connection failed. I have deleted and reloaded the app on my phone with no luck except the app now says I have no camera registered to the app. When I went to connect by Bluetooth the phone says connected but the camera just says "connecting" with no actual connection occurring. Can anyone help?
