EDSDK keeps showing "EDS_ERR_DEVICE_BUSY" when attemping to download video.

Hi Canon,

Hello Canon,

We are connecting the R50 mirrorless camera to a PC to control it remotely for functions like starting/stopping video recording and downloading videos.

Most of the time, it operates normally. However, occasionally when we try to send a download command, the camera repeatedly returns the error $\text{"EDS\_ERR\_DEVICE\_BUSY"}$.

Could you please tell us what causes this issue and how we can prevent it? Thank you.

Are you experiencing an issue related to software development? If so, you are in the wrong community.  Go to the web page where you downloaded the SDK.  If a link to a social networking group isn’t there, then there should have been one included in the SDK package.

This “Software” forum is targeted to end users of the Canon apps for Canon cameras.
