Curious if anyone else has this problem--I'm running Mac OS Catalina with the latest version of Digital Photo Professional, and I'm unable to select and perform any operation on multiple images when using the List View.
Shift or CMD + click on multiple images appears to select multiple images, however when attempting any batch operation or attempting to drag those images to another location only one image will be operated upon.
That functionality works when in the thumbail views, but sorting in the thumbnail views doesn't work the same as in a list view, so it's not terribly useful to me.
Thanks!
Edit: I have deleted all files associated with previous installations, restarted, and reinstalled the most recent versions of DPP. The application behavior didn't change. All possible permissions are enabled.

Yes. 10.15.3.
"however when attempting any batch operation" How are you doing the attempted batch?
If you don't use batch processing module I believe it will always be operating on a single image. Look at around page 134 of the manual - I am looking at the Windows manual.

Whether or not an outside app can open multiple files would be a feature of gthe app, not DPP.
Transfering multiple files to Ps is a batch process evolution. All of your questions are addressed in the manual, which you can download from the Canon site.

Yes, I understand the batch transfer functionality. I think using the word batch in my initial question and subsequent answers was a mistake on my part which has caused some confusion.
I'm aware of the ability to transfer converted images with the Open Images Using Software check box. Since that process converts CR2 files into secondary file types it's not what I need. I need the ability to move multiple raw files from DPP into Photoshop, which is only possible at this point by dragging the thumbnail images to the Dock or to a Photoshop app icon.
I'm mostly speaking strictly of the fact that it's possible to select multiple images in the list view but not operate on them in a GUI sense, which was present in previous iterations of DPP but seems to have broken in this release, which is consistent with other file-management tools which have been ported to Catalina. Catalina introduced some new approaches to file management, specifically to the Finder, which even broke some of the Finder's capabilities for a little while.
Thanks for taking the time to help; I do appreciate it.

I understand now.
Copy->Paste will work to the Desktop

I may be having the same issue but please help if you can. I have a folder with 1200 files and I want to select, say, the second half of 600. I can’t get the mouse or screen toggles to do that. Suggestion?

1. current version of DPP4 is 4.19.30.
2. go to the last image you want to be included in the group. Select that image.
3. hold down the shift key and go to the first image. Select that image.
4. select Quick Check. The first image will open in Quick Check.
5. use the right arrow key and step through all the images.
