How can I update my Control Ring adaptor's firmware? I can't find a way anywhere. It doesn't look like Canon has it on their website the same why they have it for the dslr cameras.

What makes you believe an update is required?

You might not be able to do it through the camera. If it is required you might have to send it to Canon.

You could always try Google.  I googled "canon eos r control ring adapter", and immediately found the UK support page: https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/cameras/rf-lenses/control-ring-mount-adap...)

The "Firmware" tab there currently shows no updates.  I woud guess if there was an update, they would tell you how to install it.  Camera updates, for example, come with a PDF instructions file.

Hi, were you able to find it? Mine adaptor says it's version 1.0.0 and google says the update is 1.3.0, but I can't find that actual download anywhere.  Appreciate your help.

This is an old thread.  There are still no firmware updates for this product.

Agree. There is no firmware available for the Canon control ring adapter. I just looked at Canon Hong Kong.

The firmware version it displays in the camera menu depends on the camera's firmware version you have installed on your body.

Yes I realised it was an old thread but I was hoping for an answer. Thank you for your help.
