Canon connect won't transfer recent photos

I have a Canon EOS m200. I use Canon connect to transfer photos from my camera to my Google pixel 6A. I tried to do this recently, and my most recent pictures do not appear. I removed the SD card from my camera and tried to transfer photos to my computer using that, but the photos do not show up on the SD card when in the computer.

When the camera did not have the SD card in it, I could not see my recent photos even on the camera.

I am trying to figure out how to transfer these recent photos. Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

There is no internal photo memory in the camera, so images will not display if the SD card is removed from the camera.

If you cannot see your most recent images using the computer card reader, but can see previous images, something happened during your most recent shoot.

Do you have a second card? If so, see if you can record images on it. If so, problem is not the camera.

Is the SD card a full size card or a microSD in an adapter?
