I used Canon Connect to download pictures from camera to my iPhone and it worked fine. When trying today, keep getting 403 error. I uninstalled the app, made sure camera settings are correct with correct wi-fy settings, cleared cache/cookies on iPhone, reinstalled app and it still doesn’t work, same 403 error. Is your site down?

Hi there!
We had some website maintenance overnight, but we don't have any reports of issues with the app. Can you please let us know which camera you're working with so the Community can chime in with recommendations?
Thanks for the assist!

Any updates? I have Canon EOS M50 and I’m still getting a 403 error and still unable to connect to Camera Connect. As mentioned before it was working fine during the day Tuesday. Today is when the problem started.

Ice,
I’ve cut and pasted (below) a previous reply I posted that worked for me. Perhaps it will work for you.

I had the same problem connecting my camera to my iPhone a while ago. It had probably been 2 or 3 IOS updates since I last used CameraConnect. Neither the hardware (phone or camera) had changed since I last used CameraConnect. Deleting CameraConnect on the phone and reinstalling it did not solve the problem.
After going through the manual and doing a Google search, I found something that worked with my iPhone but have no way of knowing if it will work with an android phone.
Here are the steps (to the best of my recollection):
- Clear all WiFi settings. Steps: Navigate to the WiFi Menu, Enable W-Fi NFC, press "Disp" to get to General sett. and press “Clear Wi-Fi Settings”. That deleted “SET1” that contains the connection information including the password that the connects the camera to the phone.
- Then mate the camera with the phone again per the instruction in the manual thereby creating a new SET1. That made CameraConnect work again.
Good luck!

I finally was able to get into camera connect. My solution was to rename my camera. Disconnect VPN on my iphone. Pair both camera and iphone again. Now working like a charm.
