I had no trouble downloading images from my EOS T7i to my ipad pro two days ago. Now I get a yellow exclamation point saying image cannot be downloaded to this smart phone. The Cannon Connect app does have an update, but everytime I update an app it doesn't work very well and I am nervous about doing that. Any other suggestions other than the delete the app and reinstall or update?
Thanks

I would try updating the app, then if the new update continues to fail, delete and re-install.
Another workaround is to purchase either the USB camera connection cable, or the SD-card reader cable. If going this route, be sure to get the version for your iPad's connector (lightning vs USB-C). I use these myself to import photos directly into Apple's Photos app.
