Hi all! I’ve been trying to get into macro photography, and since I don’t think I can afford a good macro lens, I am looking to get my hands on a set of extension tubes. I got some super cheap ones that ended up not working with my camera because they didn’t have lens contacts, but now I realize i’ll have to save up a bit more for a solid set.
I’m a student with unreliable income and a ridiculous amount of artistic hobbies, so I’m hoping to save as much money as possible while still getting a decent, versatile piece of gear. My camera is a Canon EOS M and my budget is around $100 at max. Could anyone give me some good recommendations for extension tubes at this price?

Extension tubes are designed for specific lens mounts. What lenses do you plan to use with the extension tubes?
You can expect to pay about $100 USD for a set that includes lens contacts.

Hey Wadizzle! The lenses I have are an EF-M 18-55mm, a EF-M 11-22mm wide angle, and an EF-M 22mm wide angle. I also own a telephoto lens but I assume that’s not usable with macro. I’m not really sure which lens I want to use for macro since i haven’t gotten the chance to try them out with a good extension tube. Which lens out of those would you say is best for macro?

I just visited the B&H web site. I am afraid the EOS-M mount train has the station. There was only one set of tubes still available for that mount. It was the type that lack lens contacts, which means your auto focus will not work.
