Trouble using external microphone with EOS 90D

My microphone, when connected to my computer, is great. I connect it to my camera, though and it's sounds very fuzzy and loud when played back - you can hardly hear my audio if you can at all.

I have it connected with power from my computer, so it's on and unmuted, however when recorded on my camera, the fuzziness and lack of sound pursued.

It is a blue yeti microphone. Does anyone have experience using these two together?

Knowing nothing of Blue Yeti, I googled it and saw that it's a great mike. Then i googled "using Blue Yeti microphone with cameras". First article i saw is this one:

Looks like just connecting the mike to a camera does not work. Have to connect camera to mike and mike to computer with correct cables. The mike needs power that the camera itself cannot provide.  The mike's output is too low a level without a power boost from a computer. So playback is of very poor quality.

I do have the mic plugged into the computer as the power supply. ?
